Is this a good starting for a book?

ok here it is: as 12 year old alex carpenter was walking home school one day when a man in a gray jumpsuit approached him. "hey can i get an autograph. alex was flabbergasted. why would some guy want his autograph he had never been on telivistion or in the newspapper. why on earth would he want his autograph. but then alex thought hey it would be cool. so he signed. as he signed he took a good look at this guys face. he was an old man with wrinkled skin. he felt like he had seen this person before. but he could not put his finger on who he was.
