2 stroke vs 4 stroke dirtbike?

so im thinking of getting a dirt bike this summer, i learned to ride on an 04 crf 230f i owned and sold a couple years ago. i felt very comfortable riding it and by the end of the day was as if id always had a bike. it was a 4 stroke. and i was told that their easier up keep (as im a carpenter not a mechanic lol) but iv seen some nice 2 strokes for sale and was wondering the pros and cons (mostly for trail riding but im 220 6'1ish and wanna have SOME fun on it too)
