Can an australian licensed builder work in Nova Scotia Canada?

We are moving to Nova Scotia on my student visa which will allow my husband and children to come as well but I'm unsure about my husbands qualifications and what is necessary to work in building/construction industry. He is fully licensed in NSW as a builder/carpenter.
