Kniphofia (RedHotPoker) or Eremurus Stenophyllus (Foxtail Lily)?

I live in Ohio. Which flower will grow better here? I want to surprise my grandma. I think she would really enjoy the hummingbirds the Red Hot Poker brings, but I know she likes the Foxtail Lily because we saw it together and thought it was cool. She has a white house with blue trim, so the Red Hot Pokers would look nice along side her home. She does have Carpenter bees, does anyone know if these flowers attract them? Cause we don't want that, as a service comes out every year to get rid of the bees. When would I plant these? In the Fall is what I have gathered, thus far, but I haven't done much gardening and seem to be at a loss when it comes to this.
